The breakfast spread was phenomenal, featuring locally inspired dishes such as haggis, and Valerie's homemade shortbread was a delicious treat that left us wanting more.
The noise from passing lorries shook the house a bit, which was slightly unsettling during the first night, but we adjusted quickly.

King Room with Balcony offered fantastic views of the river. Sizeable space for a comfortable stay.
The mattress quality felt budget, and flat pillows made for a less than stellar night’s sleep. Bedside tables had a sticky feel, and the shower could use some deep cleaning. Breakfast table also had a sticky plastic cover that detracted from the experience.

Couple's Delight
We stayed in a room with a stunning view of the river, and I gotta say, waking up to that was truly something else. The breakfast spread was impressive, we indulged in haggis and homemade shortbread that left us wanting more!
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but really worth it.

We had a cracking stay for 4 nights! The view from our room overlooking the river was pure magic, and breakfast was braw with a fab selection of fresh fruits and haggis. Just wish there was a lift for our bags, but it was worth it! Cheers, Brian and Val!

A group of friends and I had an amazing time staying here. The location offered breathtaking walks right on our doorstep, making it the perfect base for exploring. We enjoyed the lovely garden with its relaxing river, and the friendly hosts made us feel right at home. Breakfast was plentiful, and the relaxing atmosphere was just what we needed.
One thing to note is that the stairs can be a bit challenging if you're carrying heavy bags, so be prepared for that.

great stay but pricey
During my three-night stay, the hosts Valerie and Brian were incredibly hospitable and made me feel at home. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring a fantastic variety of local dishes like haggis and an impressive fresh fruit salad. The garden view from my room was a serene sight, offering nice tranquility along with the river view. I also appreciated the complimentary homemade shortbread, a delightful treat that added a personal touch to my stay.
The overall experience felt a bit expensive.
